| A new book from Shamar Rinpoche |
|
A brand new book from Shamar Rinpoche will be available during the next Kagyu Monlam. Shamar Rinpoche is the 14th Shamarpa or Red Hat Lama of Tibet. He has worked to spread the Buddhadharma throughout the world for over thirty years. At first he taught mainly in the Karma Kagyu centers established by His Holiness the 16th Karmapa, but since 2001 he has been founding his own non-sectarian Rime centers. These Bodhi Path Buddhist Centers can be found across Asia, Europe and North America. In December 2009, on the occasion of the Kagyu Mönlam Chenmo in Bodhgaya, Shamar Rinpoche explained the Noble King of Prayers of Excellent Conduct. This prayer constitutes the final verses of the Avataṃsakasūtra, and it teaches practitioners of the bodhisattva path the means to develop limitless bodhicitta.
