A new book from Shamar Rinpoche

A brand new book from Shamar Rinpoche will be available during the next Kagyu Monlam.

Shamar Rinpoche is the 14th Shamarpa or Red Hat Lama of Tibet. He has worked to spread the Buddhadharma throughout the world for over thirty years. At first he taught mainly in the Karma Kagyu centers established by His Holiness the 16th Karmapa, but since 2001 he has been founding his own non-sectarian Rime centers. These Bodhi Path Buddhist Centers can be found across Asia, Europe and North America.

In December 2009, on the occasion of the Kagyu Mönlam Chenmo in Bodhgaya, Shamar Rinpoche explained the Noble King of Prayers of Excellent Conduct. This prayer constitutes the final verses of the Avataṃsakasūtra, and it teaches practitioners of the bodhisattva path the means to develop limitless bodhicitta.

To improve the event

Dear respected Rinpoches, monks, nuns & all participants,

As you know, we have held the Kagyu Monlam continuously for several years, and the number of participants from every corner of the world is increasing every year. This shows the close Dharma connection that practitioners throughout the world have developed, and is also a great sign of confidence in the power of Dharma practice.

Every year we are trying to improve the event. It is thanks to many people’s aspiration and our joint effort that the Kagyu Monlam becomes more and more successful. If there is anything you would like to communicate to us so as to improve the quality of our service, please feel free to contact us. We promise to give our time and effort to make this event ever more successful and a source of blessing for all participants.

Thanking you,
The Kagyu Monlam Chenmo Organization
